<p>This article examines the relationship between ethics and the juvenile justice process using the US juvenile justice system as an example. The relevance of this study stems from the need for greater attention to the humanistic aspects of juvenile justice. Using the evolution of ethical views in juvenile justice, an analysis of ethical debates, and initiatives to reform the juvenile justice system as examples, it substantiates the proposition that the principles of the best interests of the child, rehabilitation, and procedural fairness are integral to ethical decision-making in the juvenile justice system. It concludes that there is an ethical need to engage families and communities, implement restorative justice practices, and introduce legislative changes that prioritize fairness, equality, and positive outcomes for juvenile offenders.</p>
<kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ювенальное правосудие</kwd><kwd>несовершеннолетние правонарушители</kwd><kwd>этические нормы</kwd><kwd>этическая дилемма</kwd><kwd>реабилитация</kwd><kwd>восстановительное правосудие</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>juvenile justice</kwd><kwd>juvenile offenders</kwd><kwd>ethical standards</kwd><kwd>ethical dilemma</kwd><kwd>rehabilitation</kwd><kwd>restorative justice</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><ref id="ref1"><mixed-citation publication-type="other" xml:lang="ru">[1] Бутяйкин И. С. Ю.
