В статье рассматривается история зарождения уральского комсомола, которая фактически берет свое начало с апреля 1917 г., когда при Екатеринбургском комитете РСДРП(б) была создана небольшая по своему количественному составу молодежная организация. Авторы рассматривают такие проблемы, как состав ее участников и основные направления деятельности после октябрьской революции 1917 г. на территории Среднего Урала. Приводится объяснение факта нахождения памятника «Комсомолу Урала» именно на Вознесенской площади.

The article examines the history of the origin of the Ural Komsomol, which actually dates back to April 1917, when a small youth organization wasestablished under the Yekaterinburg Committee of the RSDLP(b). The authors consider such problems as the composition of itsparticipants and the main areas of activity after the October Revolution of 1917 in the Middle Urals. An explanation is given for the fact that the monument to the Komsomol of the Urals is located on Voznesenskaya Square.
